  1. 1) Slide 7: Electronic music didn’t start in the 19 century, electronic instruments were developed at the end of the 19 century. You need to explain with examples how genre characteristics are used and developed in Afrika Shox.
    2) Slide 9: Re costume of Afrika Bambaataa suggests the colourful style of Zulu chiefs. Ironically Bambaataa was born Kevin Donovan in the Bronx thus like the African zombie Babaataa would know about being an invisible black man in Manhattan. Thus his empathy with the plight of the disintegrating African. Hence Bambaataa has adopted the exotic style of the Zulu nation and appears like a prophet or soothsayer in the music video.
    3) Slide 9 your final sentence is muddles. The music video combines two binary representations of the African people, the slave image and an image of a celebrated African tradition to add irony and the contrast with the cold detachment of the white men who refuse to acknowledge the black man.
    4) Slide 11: Final sentence is waffle, what do you mean by stereotypical views. Perhaps it would be better to focus on the way the music video explores the inability of white Americans to shake off their racism. For example…… and have yet to move from their slave past. An example is the recent shootings by police of defenceless young blacks in the USA…..Google to offer an example.
    5) Slide 12: Good reference to Metropolis but redo rest.
